Alabama football’s offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb looks to be well aware of the fact Ezavier “EJ” Crowell is a priority target for the Crimson Tide.
The 2026 recruit resides in the Tide’s backyard at Jackson High School in Alabama and is one of the country’s best running back prospects despite re-classifying from the 2027 recruiting class to the 2026 class.
Grubb spent some time after the Tide’s fourth spring practice and sent Crowell a video message, encouraging him to come to Tuscaloosa.

Crowell recently talked to Touchdown Alabama about his interest in the Tide and the latest in his recruitment.
“Growing up, used to watch them a lot,” Crowell said. “It is definitely a top school for me. I see myself playing in Crimson soon. But it comes down to how they would develop me as a person, player and everything else.”
