Former Alabama quarterback, Dylan Lonergan is embracing change after transferring to play for Boston College in December.
Lonergan is a former four-star prospect from Georgia. He transferred after serving as the third quarterback on the Crimson Tide depth chart last season behind Ty Simpson and Jalen Milroe.
Lonergan spoke to reporters for the first time since becoming an Eagle and shined a light on what led to his decision to leave Alabama following Boston College’s spring practice on Tuesday.
“For me, it was just kind of time for a change,” said Lonergan. “When (Nick) Saban left, that was kind of a transition…I love all the guys that are still at Bama and I have so much respect for them, but for me it was just time for a change.”
Lonergan now looks to embark on a fresh start in the ACC with Boston College as he reunites with former Alabama offensive coordinator, Bill O’Brien who recruited him while in Tuscaloosa.
