Alabama quarterback, Jalen Milroe met with the Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin, general manager Omar Khan, and quarterbacks coach Tom Arth ahead of Alabama’s Pro Day, per NFL insider, Tom Pelissero.
Milroe was treated to dinner by the Steelers’ brass on Tuesday night in Tuscaloosa. This gesture comes after Pittsburgh’s offensive staff traveled to Mobile, Alabama to scout the Crimson Tide quarterback in February at the Reese’s Senior Bowl. The Steelers contingent is now expected to be in attendance at Alabama’s Pro Day on Wednesday.
Milroe becomes a viable choice for Pittsburgh ahead of April’s NFL Draft as the franchise currently explores multiple quarterback options after losing Justin Fields to the New York Jets last week in free agency.
Pittsburgh has not re-signed Russell Wilson yet. They are also in the running t0 possibly sign Aaron Rodgers.
