All signs point to the Alabama quarterback trending upwards ahead of April’s draft.
Dice City Sports out of Las Vegas feels Milroe is a legitimate candidate for the Raiders. If they want Milroe in Las Vegas, the Raiders may not have to pick a quarterback in the first round. They currently have the sixth overall pick in the draft and the 37th overall pick on day two. Milroe is not projected to be a first-round pick.
“New Raiders head coach Pete Carroll has no qualms with adding to his quarterback room despite having an established option,” Derek Hegna of Dice City Sports wrote. “In 2012, despite adding Matt Flynn in free agency, Carroll and the Seahawks still decided to draft then-University of Wisconsin quarterback Russell Wilson in the third round. Given the massive success of that decision, it would not be a surprise for Carroll to return to his old tricks and draft Milroe as a developmental option behind Smith and Aidan O’Connell.”
Milroe continues to be one of the most intriguing prospects in this year’s draft.
