Braden Gordon used his sophomore season to prove he is a major college football prospect.

Gordon has earned offers from Alabama, Auburn, Arkansas State, Florida, Ole Miss, Notre Dame and others since the start of the year.

The Crimson Tide recently hosted the Montgomery Academy product, and the family atmosphere present in Tuscaloosa stood out to the sophomore.

“I love the program,” Gordon said. “It feels like everyone is just a big family, and the coaches really seem to care about the players as people, not just football players.”

Kalen DeBoer met Gordon during his visit to Tuscaloosa.

“It was great meeting coach DeBoer,” said Gordon. “He’s a real chill guy, so he was easy to talk to.”

The sophomore made plays on both sides of the ball for Montgomery Academy during the 2024 season at 6-foot-4. He finished the year with 45 receptions for 740 Receiving yards and eight receiving touchdowns. He also accounted for 50 tackles, 14 tackles for loss and 11 sacks.

Alabama plans to recruit Gordon as an outside linebacker to play the WOLF position within its defense. He shines while rushing from the edge with his ability to use his speed to bend the edge and get after the football.

“I think I blitz off the edge well and tackle in space good,” Gordon told Touchdown Alabama.
