2 Alabama defensive linemen look like different players this spring

Jeremiah Beaman and Edric Hill are two Alabama football defensive linemen, who are continuing to generate buzz during spring practice.

Hill played in nine games for Alabama last season, registering three tackles in those contests as a redshirt freshman. Beaman was a true freshman in 2024 and only saw playing time in three games, but he earned a significant amount of snaps against Michigan in the ReliaQuest Bowl.

Alabama’s offensive guard, Geno VanDeMark revealed Tuesday the pair has been given the Tide’s offensive line ‘trouble’

“Beaman and Edric, they look a lot different,” VanDeMark said. “They’re playing a lot different, faster, more physical, just better defensive lineman than they were previously, and they’re giving us some trouble. They’re good players.”

The Crimson Tide’s veteran defensive lineman, Tim Keenan III was complimentary of Hill’s growth earlier in the spring.

“Those guys been making incredible jumps…But, man, Edric Hill, he’s been making a magnificent impact this spring,” Keenan said. “I can’t wait to see what he keeps doing.”

Beaman is up to 312 pounds, according to Alabama’s 2025 roster. Both linemen could play pivotal roles in the Tide having depth along its defensive front in 2025.
