Jorden Edmonds is set to announce his commitment decision on Wednesday.
Edmonds is a 2026 five-star defensive back prospect out of Sprayberry High School in Georgia.
The five-star was set to announce a commitment decision in February, but he pushed back his commitment date as his recruitment generated more attention. Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Oklahoma and Tennessee were his finalists ahead of his original commitment date.
Alabama’s coaching staff has made Edmonds a priority. Chris Edmonds, father of Jorden, recently talked to Touchdown Alabama about his son and his interest in the Crimson Tide.

“It has been a school he has always kept an eye on even when he was younger when he was leaning more towards basketball,” Chris Edmonds said. “I think with his mindset and with the coaching staff, I think they’re more willing to help develop players. I think that’s the old-school mentality, and Jorden coming in as a freshman, I think they’ll be willing to develop more than just throw products out there based on stars and develop players to be elite college players or to go to the NFL. I think they have always have had that.”
The 6-foot-3, 180-pounder is a long and athletic defensive back. He is projected to play cornerback at the next level as he shined there for Sprayberry with his length.
