Former Alabama football wide receiver, Marquis Maze has the Alabama faithful split with his support for Duke basketball.
Maze played wide receiver for the Crimson Tide from 2008 to 2011 and was a part of two National Championship teams. He is also a fan of Duke basketball.
The Alabama native reminded the Crimson Tide faithful of this ahead of the Tide and Duke facing off in the Elite 8.
“I hope bama beat everybody but Duke in basketball y’all just got put in the wrong bracket,” Maze said in a post to X.

Maze took a shot in good faith at the Alabama basketball fanbase as some expressed their dislike for his decision to support Duke.
“Not many of y’all was Bama basketball fans until Nate turned things around so continue to bring the hate towards me I love it,” Maze posted.
