Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer spoke to the media on Thursday after the team’s first scrimmage.
When asked about defensive backs coach Maurice Linguist and his importance of being on the coaching staff, Kalen DeBoer had only positive things to say.
“First of all, he just brings the juice and energy. He’s a pleasure to be around for the head coach, a staff member. That is certainly seen by our players and felt by our players.”
Linguist joined the Alabama coaching staff last offseason and has helped develop Alabama’s secondary into being one of the best units in the country.
Off the field, Linguist plays a key role on the recruiting trail.
“The recruiting process, he is attractive for a parent, for their son to come here and want to be coached,” DeBoer said, “They are cared for. They are loved. They are taught at an extremely high level.”
Linguist will continue to be a vital piece of Alabama’s coaching staff on and off the field in 2025.
