Jamari Nicks is one of several top high school football players showing talent comes from every classification within the state of Alabama.

Nicks attends Winterboro High School in Alpine, Alabama. Winterboro plays football in the 1A classification, which is the smallest public school classification in the state. The freshman is not letting the level he plays football stop him from attracting the attention of college football scouts.

Arkansas and Tennessee have already offered him, and he confirmed why their confidence in him was the right move with his performance at Under Armour Nashville at wide receiver as he shined among the top performers.

Nicks’ game speaks for itself. He has the type of athleticism and explosiveness no one can teach.

The freshman feels his early recruiting success is a result of his hard work.

“It just shows me the work that I’ve been putting in is paying off,” Nicks told Touchdown Alabama.

The 5-foot-10, 165-pounder would like to play wide receiver at the next level. His size and unique skillset point to him developing into a solid slot wideout in the future.

“I say my elusiveness, that’s what makes me the best,” said Nicks when asked about the strengths of his game.

Auburn is an in-state program Nicks would be grateful to hold an offer from, but he grew up a fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide. An offer from Alabama would be a major point in his recruitment if it was to come to fruition.

“It would be just a reminder how much work I’ve been putting in because I grew up watching Alabama, going for Bama, rooting for Bama,” Nicks said. “So, being able to play at that next level with them, it would just mean the world.”

Nicks has a long way to go in his high school career and more offers will come his way along with more expected success.
