During the offseason, Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer decided to bring in Ryan Grubb to be the team’s new offensive coordinator.
On Wednesday, redshirt senior Jaeden Roberts spoke with the media about Grubb and what he thinks of his offense thus far.
“I love his intensity. I love him as a coach,” Roberts said, “He pushes me. He pushes the whole offense to be better than what we want to become. He has this vision where you just want to follow behind him and just get better.”
Grubb certainly has a vision in mind. In two seasons at Washington, he transformed the Huskies offense. Grubb coincided with DeBoer to create one of the most high octane offenses in college football. He will aim to do the same thing in Tuscaloosa with the Crimson Tide.
Roberts and his teammates have vocalized their level of appreciation for Grubb and what he has brought to the offensive side of the ball this spring. Needless to say, it will be interesting to see how Grubb fares as a play-called in 2025.
