Khalil Terry reported an offer from Alabama football in March during a huge month for his recruitment.

Terry is a 2027 four-star defensive back, who is committed to Michigan State. His offer list consists of some of the best programs in the country.

March was a significant point in his recruitment because he earned offers from Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Nebraska and North Carolina.

The four-star wants to get to Tuscaloosa to check out the Tide after earning his offer from them.

“Alabama is one of the programs that has set the standard,” Terry said. “I have a long-standing relationship with Courtney Morgan, so he and Coach Jones offering me was big. My brother did his pro day at Alabama last year too. I’m excited to get down there.”

Terry grew up in the heart of the Nick Saban era at Alabama, and he is well aware of the program’s tradition. He is also aware of the new Alabama staff, and his family likes what they bring to the table.

“I think it’s a winning program with a lot of tradition,” Terry told Touchdown Alabama. “I feel like the coaching staff is really good. They have a tradition of developing good safeties and defensive backs overall. My dad thinks highly of coach (Maurice) Linguist and coach (Jason) Jones. Coach (Kalen) DeBoer is obviously a great coach. I’m excited to get down there and really see the place and learn about the academics.”

At 6-foot and 185 pounds, Terry is a physical defensive back with great anticipation skills. He is the type of defensive back, who loves to make plays on the football.

“I think I’m a pretty physical player with good ball skills,” said Terry. “I’m pretty versatile. I can play nickel and safety. I’m equally comfortable at both. I line up at corner sometimes as well. I take pride in being kind of a smart football player. My coach played safety at USC, so I get a lot from him in terms of learning the position. I think my versatility is what kind of stands out.”
