Alabama’s secondary is expected to be an area of strength for the Crimson Tide next season. There is a blend of returning players, transfers, and incoming freshmen that will make up the secondary in 2025.
On Friday, Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer spoke highly of the defensive backs and what he has seen from the group this spring.
“Both corners and safeties together have really kind of reconfigured and are playing extremely high level of football,” DeBoer said, “They’re seeking out. They’re hunting the ball. They’re confident.”
Alabama has depth at cornerback, HUSKY, and both safety positions. The Alabama coaching staff has placed an emphasis this offseason on using players in a multitude of ways at different positions.
The versatility and athleticism are two things that stand out among the group of defensive backs. Both should bode well for the Crimson Tide defense as the unit looks to improve from a season ago.
