Caleb Odom tells why he left Alabama

Former Alabama wide receiver, Caleb Odom is feeling comfortable after his decision to transfer to Ole Miss following the Crimson Tide’s 2024 regular season.

Odom transferred from Alabama to Ole Miss after only grabbing seven receptions for 65 yards and being seldomly used on offense through seven games during his true freshman campaign. He decided to take his talents to Ole Miss because he wanted to be somewhere he felt ‘needed.’

“I think ultimately, I just wanted to be somewhere where I felt wanted and needed and felt comfortable,” Odom said. “And so obviously, having a relationship with Ole Miss out of high school, them being my second choice, it made sense for me to come back up here and just really get to Coach (George) McDonald. And get back up here to see Coach (Lane) Kiffin and really just talk to them. So yeah, that made it easier.”

Odom also had nothing but good things to say about Alabama football and his former head coach, Kalen DeBoer, during his recent media availability.

“I think what coach DeBoer and them are doing up there is going to be really good,” Odom said. “I have nothing but love for Alabama. I think they are going to be really good. I think they are developing players.”

With Odom in a new location this season, it will be interesting to see what the former Alabama receiver accomplishes in 2025 and so on.
