ESPN writer, Chris Low spent some time around Alabama football recently and provided his take on the Crimson Tide’s quarterback competition.
Ty Simpson, Austin Mack and Keelon Russell are all battling to be the Tide’s next starting signal caller. Alabama’s offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb told Chris Low no quarterback had created ‘separation.’ Low is getting the same sense from players and coaches.
“My take on Alabama QB situation after being on campus: Ty Simpson best positioned to be starter, but has to go win it. Hasn’t done it yet. Austin Mack is battling and has some real support among players. Keelon Russell most talented of the three, but a freshman. Legit race,” Low posted to x.
