Kalen DeBoer provided an updated Alabama football’s quarterback competition after the Tide’s latest scrimmage while talking with Ryan Fowler on “The Game” on Tide 100.9.
Ty Simpson, Austin Mack and Keelon Russell are all competing to be Alabama’s next quarterback.
DeBoer confirmed the battle will continue throughout the summer and carry on to the fall with Tide 100.9.
“For us, we don’t feel like they’re to the point where there’s separation,” DeBoer said. “I think it would be pretty foolish for us to make a decision right now. We have plenty of time to work through it and let these guys continue to work through the summer. Obviously, that takes them to fall camp where they’ll get some more reps.”
Alabama fans will have an opportunity to put their eyes on all three quarterbacks Saturday in Tuscaloosa when the Tide host their A-Day spring practice.
