Jalen Milroe remains confident in his ability to be a dynamic playmaker despite many of what he will call naysayers campaigning against his ability to be a great NFL quarterback in the future.

Milroe started at quarterback for the Alabama Crimson Tide for two years before declaring for the NFL Draft. He finished his career in Tuscaloosa with 6,016 passing yards, 45 passing touchdowns, 1,577 rushing yards and 33 rushing touchdowns.

Most doubts about his game stem from his ability to pass the football. However, his ability to run the football is what made him dynamic in college, and Milroe feels it is his superpower.

“The objective is to get a first down, keep stacking drives and get a touchdown no matter what it is, whether the passing game or the running game,” Milroe said on the NFL Network. “And so if I choose to run the ball and score, coach ain’t gonna be mad at me and say, ‘Jalen, why did you score the touchdown?’ Vice versa, if I go through my progressions and I hit an end cut and that player run the score, touchdown, the coach ain’t going to be like ‘Jalen why you ain’t run the ball?’ No, it’s whatever the play call require and being a point guard and distributing the ball so that we can make explosive plays on offense and doing things so we can stack drives, continue to move the ball, manage the time, the distance, everything as a whole that’s implemented in the game planning. I don’t consider it a challenge. I consider it as a superpower. It’s something that’s traits that people don’t have. And so why not benefit from that? And why not prepare to keep on dominating defenses…Everybody wishes they had me superpower of having my legs and my arm. So why did I use that as a crutch against myself? Because someone doesn’t like it. If you don’t like it, stop it.”

Milroe has met with multiple NFL teams ahead of the draft.
