IMG Academy freshman DB gives thoughts on Alabama after visit

Man Robinson visited the Alabama Crimson Tide earlier this week, and he is interested in getting back to Tuscaloosa in the future and learning more about the program.

Robinson attends IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. He holds early offers from Florida State, Oklahoma, Kentucky, Vanderbilt and others.

The freshman walked away from his visit to Tuscaloosa with admiration for what he saw.

“Everything about Alabama, its coaching staff, facilities and its players are top of the line,” Robinson said. “The facilities are also top tier. It’s easy to see as soon as you step in the building, why they’ve had so much success. You can feel the presence of a winning culture almost immediately.”

The Tide have not offered Robinson yet, but they are expected to continue to evaluate him.

Robinson is a playmaker at cornerback at 5-foot-11 and 182 pounds, and he attacks the football with the intention of taking it away while in coverage. The rising prospect feels multiple parts of his game are strengths.

“My game is patterned behind covering well and being physical and competitive,” said Robinson. “I tackle well, and I also diagnose routes and route combinations pretty quickly, and then use my quickness to break and make a play on the ball. So I think I fit most schemes well, whether it’s man or zone coverage.”
