The slogan game respects game rang true in Dallas on Wednesday night. Lebron James and the Los Angeles Lakers took on the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday night. Following the game, James was asked about Derrick Henry who was in attendance for the game.
“I’ve said over and over that King Henry is my favorite player in the National Football League,” James said.
James’ quote does not come as much of a surprise considering the two athletes have been given with the nickname “King.”
Henry and James are both distinguished athletes in their respective sport. James is arguably the greatest NBA player of all-time while Henry is arguably one of the best running backs in NFL history.
It is always interesting to see and hear how former Alabama players are perceived by athletes from different sports. In this case, James acknowledged his admiration for Henry. Both athletes have had successful careers and will continue to forge their legacy with their current teams.
