What is different about Alabama DL Jeremiah Beaman this spring?

Jeremiah Beaman has garnered praise from his Alabama teammates throughout this spring with Geno VanDeMark going as far as saying he looks ‘totally different.’

The Birmingham, Alabama native looks a bit different these days with his new 312-pound frame, which he carries really well. He is coming off an interesting freshman campaign where he did not earn many meaningful snaps during the regular season, but he was on the field a lot during the Tide’s bowl game against Michigan, recording two tackles and a quarterback hurry.

Fellow Birmingham native, Tim Keenan III is a veteran defender for the Tide, and he feels getting more ‘game’ like reps this spring has benefitted Beaman’s development.

“Beaman overall just getting those game reps,” Keenan said.  “Even though he stepped up big in the Michigan game this past last season, this spring you can definitely tell he’s feeling comfortable. He has his confidence. He’s playing fast, physical, violent. So, I’m liking what I’m seeing from Jeremiah Beaman.”

LT Overton was complimentary of Beaman during his appearance on “Hey Coach” this week.

“Beaman is gonna be that guy,” Overton said. “People lack that he’s a young guy, but he’s definitely proven. He’s stepping up this year.”

Alabama’s defensive front has an opportunity to be one of the deepest groups on Alabama’s roster in 2025. Beaman’s development will help this expectation turn into a reality.
