It’s now been over a year since Nick Saban last led Alabama onto the field as its head coach and since then he has become a television sensation on ESPN’s College Gameday and a major advocate for the game.

Despite saying that he’s never had more fun working on TV, his former assistant and current head coach of Ole Miss, Lane Kiffin, is not convinced that Saban is completely done with coaching.

During an appearance on Theo Von’s podcast, Kiffin shared that he could see Saban potentially return to the sidelines potentially at the NFL level.

“He’s so wired all day long to do something for his entire life,” Kiffin said. “He’s not gonna sit around and be a grandpa. That’s not him. …

“I wouldn’t be surprised if he came back in the NFL even as a head coach because he’s so good at it, and it’s in him. I’m not sure he won’t come back.”

Kiffin served as the offensive coordinator at Alabama from 2014-16 helping Saban win a national title along the way.

Since leaving the Crimson Tide, Kiffin has been no stranger to poke fun at his previous boss as well as showering him with praise. Either way, Kiffin has been around Saban long enough to understand his wants and tendencies to some degree.
