Derek Zammit announced a verbal commitment to Washington Saturday, choosing the Huskies over Alabama, Syracuse and Mississippi State.
Zammit is a four-star 2026 quarterback out of New Jersey.
The Crimson Tide offered him in February.
Alabama football remains without a quarterback commit in the 2026 recruiting class with Zammit’s decision. The Crimson Tide looks to be facing an uphill battle while attempting to land a quarterback during this recruiting cycle after landing Keelon Russell in the 2025 cycle.
