The Dallas Cowboys are enamored with their 2025 first-round pick Tyler Booker after selecting him with the No. 12 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Booker was the first interior lineman to be selected after coming off a distinguished three-year collegiate career in Tuscaloosa. He displayed consistency, competitiveness and leadership while only giving up two career sacks in 39 games at Alabama. This combination of production and off-the-field characteristics is why the Dallas brass is excited about the future of their first-round selection.
“Our motto is “compete everyday” and that doesn’t matter if you’re Dak Prescott, Micah Parsons, it doesn’t matter, but when you see the traits that this young man has, he’s gonna come in, he’s gonna compete for it,” Cowboys vice president of player personnel, Will McClay said.. “And from every stop playing in high school, going IMG (Academy), going to Alabama, he’s always found his way into the starting lineup. And again, I’m not just excited about the player, I’m excited about the person.”
Booker now looks to bring the full package to Dallas as he is expected to make an immediate impact and help solidify the Cowboys offensive front for several seasons to come.
