Alabama football’s defensive back, Cam Calhoun feels a sense of brotherhood after the Crimson Tide were able to keep their scholarship roster intact this spring.
Calhoun attributed this result to the growing brotherhood on the Alabama roster.
“It’s Brotherhood,” Calhoun posted via X in response to the Tide holding on to all of their scholarship players.
This is a testament to the job Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer, general manager Courtney Morgan and the entire Crimson Tide coaching staff have done this offseason. It also says a lot about the current team chemistry.
Alabama’s defensive coordinator Kane Wommack shared the Tide took a proactive approach to the spring portal window.
“Coach(Kalen) DeBoer has done such a great job of being proactive on the front end,” Wommack said as a guest on 105.5 WNSP. “We’ve had numerous meetings with players and reached out to their families and representatives and all those things to kind of make sure we’re all on the same page so that we’re not surprised by anything. I think to this point, we’re in a really good place.”
Calhoun and Alabama will look to continue building upon these connections during the summer and fall as the season inches closer.
