The 2025 NFL Draft officially ended on Saturday night. The next step that most NFL teams will go through is evaluating and assessing their roster to see if any players need to be added or let go.
There are a number of former Alabama players that are currently NFL free agents. Touchdown Alabama takes a closer look at which former Alabama players are free agents following the 2025 NFL Draft.
WR Amari Cooper
Cooper is one of the top available free agents. The former Alabama pass-catcher spent last season playing for two teams — the Cleveland Browns and the Buffalo Bills. In comparison to previous years, Cooper saw a significant decline in production. He finished the entire season with 44 receptions for 547 yards and four touchdowns. It was the second least receptions, receiving yards, and touchdowns that he has had in a single season.
With the draft in hindsight, there will be a number of suitors that likely emerge in the coming days and weeks. It should not be long before Cooper finds a new home and hopefully a new place to flourish.
LB C.J. Mosley
After playing in just four games last season, Mosley was cut by the New York Jets. The former first-round pick was sidelined due to injury and unable to be the leader he has been since entering the league in 2014.
In all likelihood, Mosley will sign a one or two-year deal. Given the mixture of injuries and age, it is difficult to envision a team signing him to a long-term contract. Nevertheless, he should be on an NFL roster by the time the season starts.
DT Raekwon Davis
After one season with the Colts, Davis is back on the market. The Mississippi native has played in 80 games over the course of his five-year career. He has been healthy for almost every game. That is something that should help him find a home sooner than later.
Despite recording a career-low in tackles (15), it would be surprising to see a team not sign Davis. He is 27-years-old and can be an effective run stopper for an organization that is willing to take a chance on him.
OT Jedrick Wills
In the last two seasons, Wills has played in just 12 games. The former first-round pick has been battling a nagging MCL injury since the 2023 season and has not returned to full form since then.
Wills is an interesting free agent. He has the potential to be a good NFL player. He just has not been healthy enough to showcase that potential.
S Ronnie Harrison
Harrison spent the past two seasons with the Colts organization. He played in 17 games and made three starts. The Florida native has spent time with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Cleveland Browns, and the Colts.
He adds versatility and positional flexibility on the defensive side of the ball. Harrison has played a mixture of Rover and safety since entering the league in 2018. I would expect Harrison to be signed to a team’s practice squad for the 2025-2026 season.
