Ezavier “EJ” Crowell has updated his commitment plans by backing off a Dec. 31 commitment date.

It is likely he will move up his commitment-decision timeline from the previous late December one which means a summer decision could happen.

Crowell attends Jackson High School in Jackson, Alabama, and he is one of the top running backs in the 2026 recruiting class. He currently has Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Texas and Ohio State in his top six. Crowell plans to take multiple official visit during the summer.

The talented back helped  Jackson win a state championship with his dynamic playing style during the 2024 season. The 5-foot-11, 215-pounder is a physical runner, who runs through arm tackles with proven speed as he holds a PR of 10.6 in the 100-meter dash. He is also effective at catching the football out of the backfield.
