With the 2025 NFL Draft in hindsight, NFL draft experts have already turned their attention to the 2026 NFL Draft class.
NFL Draft analyst Mel Kiper Jr. recently joined the Adam Schefter Podcast to discuss some of the top prospects for next year’s draft. One of the players that he mentioned is Alabama offensive tackle Kadyn Proctor.
Early on, Proctor seems like a name that will be at the top of a bunch of team’s draft boards. Through his first two seasons at Alabama, Proctor has made 24 starts. The Iowa native was selected to the All-SEC Freshman Team in 2023. He started in all 13 games as a true freshman for the Crimson Tide.
As a sophomore, Proctor played in the last 11 games of the season after missing the first two games due to injury. He received second-team All-SEC honors from coaches in the conference following the season.
Overall, Proctor projects to be one of the top offensive lineman chosen in the draft next year. At 6-foot-7 and 360 pounds, Proctor can provide a huge presence at the tackle position for an NFL franchise. He has shown improvement over the course of his first two seasons in Tuscaloosa. It will be interesting to see if he can continue to develop and elevate his level of play as a junior for the Crimson Tide.
If he is able to do so, he very well could be one of the first players selected in the draft next April. Kiper seems to believe that he is capable of doing so.
