Vigor 2026 quarterback, Sammy Dunn is closing in on a college decision.
Dunn was limited to five games during the 2024 season, but he still managed to post 872 passing yards and 14 touchdowns.
The Vigor product is now eyeing a summer commitment with programs like Army, North Alabama, Samford, Southern Miss and UL-Monroe standing out.
“Honestly, all the schools have great environments and great position coaches,” Dunn told Touchdown Alabama. “I am in communication with all of these schools on a weekly basis.”
Dunn has been presented with the challenge of playing under different coaches throughout his high school career. He feels having to make adjustments to new systems has prepared him to play in multiple offenses.
“I have had a different head coach and coordinator each year in high school,” Dunn said. “I believe I can fit in multiple systems with a high-powered, balanced offense being my favorite. I believe I have the work ethic of Jalen Hurts and the mentality of Tom Brady and Patrick Mahomes.”
The 185-pound quarterback is a true dual-threat quarterback, who can put an impressive touch on the football when pushing the ball down the field. He has also flashed an ability to make a variety of throws and is exciting to watch when he make plays while being pressured when he has to maneuver around the pocket.
Dunn has personal goals he would like to achieve during his senior season, but his ultimate goal is a team one.
“I have personal goals each year but a successful season would be leading my teammates to a blue map this season,” said Dunn.
