Kalen DeBoer tells how Alabama offensive line will replace Tyler Booker in 2025

Kalen DeBoer is confident Alabama’s offensive line has what it takes to successfully replace veteran offensive guard, Tyler Booker, upfront this upcoming season.

Booker anchored the Crimson Tide’s offensive front over the past three seasons and was a team captain before being selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft. This departure left the Alabama offensive line with an interior hole to fill on the field. DeBoer acknowledged this task would take a collective positional effort by the Tide when praising the former Alabama guard’s production and football makeup in a recent interview with 247 Sports’ Josh Pate.

“You don’t just replace Tyler Booker with someone else, for all the reasons you just mentioned,” DeBoer said. “Production in the field, personality, leadership, but what I really think is happening is that we have some guys that have that capability of raising their game as leaders and now are getting more comfortable. A Parker Brailsford, A Kadyn Proctor, A Jaeden Roberts back for another year. But they saw Book (Booker) and they aren’t gonna be Book, because no one can do that, like how he is and the way he did it. But they can do it in their own way.”

Geno VanDemark and Kam DrewBerry are competing for the left guard position Booker’s departure leaves open.

Brailsford, Proctor, Roberts, along with Wilkin Formby, VanDemark, DrewBerry and other Alabama reserves will look to continue to jell together over the summer and fall to help bring the juice Booker bought on and off the field.
