In a video that surfaced on X on Saturday morning, the Eagles front office and defensive coordinator Vic Fangio are seen showing pure elation after drafting Jihaad Campbell in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Campbell was selected No. 31 overall by the Eagles in this year’s draft. The New Jersey native became the eighth former Alabama player to become a part of the Eagles organization. He joins Jalen Hurts, DeVonta Smith, Tyler Steen, Eli Ricks, Landon Dickerson, Cameron Latu, and Byron Young as Alabama graduates playing for the defending Super Bowl champions.
Campbell had a strong junior season with the Crimson Tide in 2024. He finished the season with a career-high 119 tackles and five sacks. He missed the final game of the season after suffering a torn labrum.
The first-round pick is expected to be ready for training camp and a full-go by the time the season starts. It will be interesting to see what his role is on the Eagles defense in 2025.
