Alabama football’s offensive lineman, Kam Dewberry is confident the Crimson Tide have the proper tools to propel his career to the next level in 2025.
Dewberry is a product of Humble, Texas, who appeared in 32 games across three seasons for Texas A&M before opting to transfer to Alabama with one year of eligibility remaining. He based his decision on the Crimson Tide’s past track record of success in player development.
“I just feel like, yes, there’s a lot of different places I could have chosen, a lot of different opportunities I had, but I feel like Bama had all the tools to get me where I want to go,” Dewberry said during an appearance on the Bama Standard. “This is literally the place that does it. Me going away from home in Humble, Texas, being able to focus and lock in someplace in a city like Tuscaloosa, just be able to create and get to where I need to go and be surrounded by success, I feel like that’s going to make me successful as well.”
Dewberry also shared the message the Crimson Tide’s coaching staff continues to relay to him as he further acclimates himself to Alabama football.
“They telling me, you have a really good talent,” Dewberry said. “If you really just trust and us and believe in us, you gonna really F people up. You’re gonna really be able to maximize the player and be who you want to be. They telling me just to trust in them. I already seen just a difference just because January till now, just how stronger I got and just physically how my body is changing, for real. I just got to keep going through it, have a really good summer, have a really good May and summer, leading into fall camp and they making my boy out of metal right now. They making my body into metal. I’m just processing and doing what they tell me to do.”
Dewberry is currently competing to start at left guard for Alabama.
