CBS Sports recently released a list of some of college football’s next household names and included Alabama defensive lineman, LT Overton.
Overton transferred to Alabama from Texas A&M after the 2023 football season. He played in all 13 games for Alabama in 2024 and started in four games. The Georgia product finished the year with 42 total tackles, nine quarterback hurries and two sacks.
The 2025 season could possibly set Overton up for future NFL success.
NFL Draft expert, Todd McShay recently listed Overton as a first-round pick in his way-too-early 2026 mock draft.
Overton shared he felt the game had slowed down for him during the spring.
“Feel like I’m back in high school,” Overton said. It’s just everything clicks now. It’s not just me freezing up or trying to overthink anything. It’s just everything set in front of me. It’s just, how am I going to handle it now.”
