Malachi Moore will wear No. 27 as a rookie NFL safety for the New York Jets after sporting No. 13 for several years as both a high school and college football player.
Moore was selected by the Jets in the fourth round of the 2025 NFL Draft. He recently signed a rookie contract with the franchise and is expected to compete at safety in his first season, per the Jets’ head football coach Aaron Glenn.
The Hewitt-Trussville product played five seasons at Alabama and was a productive member of the Tide’s secondary from the moment he stepped foot on campus, starting as a true freshman.
