Former Alabama football defensive lineman, Jaheim Oatis recently revealed why he transferred.

Oatis stepped away from the Crimson Tide during the 2024 season and decided to take a redshirt. He eventually entered the transfer portal after the season concluded and transferred to Colorado.

The Mississippi product recently shined some light on his decision during an interview with ON3’s Pete Nakos.

“I left Alabama because I came in with coach Saban, I took it to heart,” Oatis said, according to ON3. “That was one of my biggest dreams: To play in college football for coach Saban and win a ring… .The new staff wasn’t for me. And once I found out that they didn’t mess with me, I knew it was time to get up and get out of there.”

The Mississippi product recorded 52 tackles and 1.5 sacks during his time with the Tide.
