The NFL season is less than a month away, and former Alabama running back, Najee Harris is working toward getting back on the field to make his Chargers debut.

Harris suffered an eye injury in a firework accident on Independence Day, but he has taken to Snapchat and posted a picture of himself in his helmet at practice. The caption said “WE AT IT” which has been interpreted by fans as if Harris will be ready to play in the next few weeks.

However, since the accident, Harris has always had something covering his eyes like a pair of glasses for example. In his post, Harris had a visor on his helmet that reflected some sunlight, but it allowed viewers to have a decent but somewhat blurred look at his eyes.

It appears that Harris had his injured eye closed in the photo, making fans speculate on his condition ahead of the 2025 season.

In a press conference, Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh was asked about Harris, and he said Harris has developed ‘a sophisticated system of echolocation’ which seems like a satirical quote about the accident, implying that Harris has adapted like a bat using sound to see in the dark.

The Chargers will likely lean on rookie running back Omarion Hampton in the absence of Harris.
