Alabama football defeated the Missouri Tigers 27-24 on the road to improve to 5-1.

Here are some initial takeaways from the game:

– Ty Simpson Remains Hot

Ty Simpson made some impressive throws in this one in clutch situations. He is continuing his push to possibly win the Heisman despite him not being protected well. He finished the game with 200 passing yards and three passing touchdowns.

– Ryan Williams Does Not Look 100 Percent

Ryan Williams did not look he was at 100 percent in this one after being listed as probable in this one throughout the week. He did not record a catch in the game.

– Alabama Defense Still Susceptible To Big Run Plays

The Crimson Tide have not been able to consistently stop teams from having big runs for most of the season. This continued against a talented Missouri rushing attack. The Tigers had four rushes go for more than 10 yards in this one.

– Conor Talty Continues Highs and Lows

Talty was consistent kicking field goals in this one early on after some up-and-down performances in recent weeks. He hit field goals from 22 and 47 yards out to start his day. Unfortunately, this did not continue. He missed from 49 yards out in the second half.

– Alabama Offensive Line Has To Protect Ty Simpson Better

Missouri sacked Ty Simpson four times in this one at critical times. The Tigers’ defense was dominating the Tide in the second half at times.

– Jam Miller is Critical Piece Of Alabama Offense

Jam Miller is a complete running back and is the Crimson Tide’s best back. He went down in the second half and was taken to the locker room. The Tide’s play calling immediately changed. Keeping him healthy should be a top priority for Alabama.
