A pair of Alabama football players were named SEC co-defensive players of the week for their performances against Tennessee on Saturday.
Both Yhonzae Pierre and Zabien Brown were recognized with the award this week.
Pierre accounted for three sacks against the Vols in the best game of his college career. He also added 2.5 tackles for loss and 6 total tackles while the Alabama defense held the Vols to only 20 points.
Brown had the play of the game. He intercepted Joey Aguilar and returned the pick 99 yards in the final seconds of the first half. He had a career-high seven tackles in the game.
The Crimson Tide will be back in action Saturday against the South Carolina Gamecocks. Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m. CST.
