Keon Keeley sealed Alabama football’s win over South Carolina when he got LaNorris Sellers down for a sack in the final seconds of the game.
Keeley continues his upward trajectory as he competes to get more snaps this season. He has recorded seven total tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks in a contributor role along the Tide’s defensive front through eight games.
Kalen DeBoer discussed Keeley carving out and building upon a role for himself Wednesday on “Hey Coach and The Kalen DeBoer Show.”
“He’s got the physical tools and is executing and getting the techniques down and really carving out a role, and building onto that role each and every week,” DeBoer said. “That’s exciting because he is such a great kid, and you want it for him.”
Alabama football linebacker, Nikhai Hill Green has seen himself carve out a bigger role on the Tide’s defense this season in recent weeks. He has also noticed Alabama’s coaches show more trust in Keeley.
“He’s stacking the opportunities he gets and just being a consistent player,” Hill-Green said. “And I think the trust level from the coaches, it’s there. His confidence is there and I can’t wait to see him finish off the season strong.”
Alabama fans have been waiting to see the five-star emerge and take another step forward, and he is finally flashing what made him a prized recruit.
