Heisman Trophy races are won in November, and Ty Simpson now has a bit of ground to make up as Alabama heads into the stretch run of its season.
With the Crimson Tide off last weekend, Simpson’s Heisman campaign took a backseat to Ohio State’s Julian Sayin, who threw a near-perfect game during the Buckeyes’ blowout win over Penn State.
Sayin is the new Heisman favorite, as BetMGM currently gives him +150 odds to win the award. Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza is next on the list at +250, followed by Simpson (+350) and Reed (+750)
Here’s a look at how the top contenders stack up and what’s coming up next for them heading into Week 11 of the season.
