Alabama linebackers, Qua Russaw and Cayden Jones, were both upgraded to questionable officially in the Tide’s initial availability report for their upcoming matchup against Oklahoma.

True freshman linebacker, Abduall Sanders has been downgraded to out, and the Tide’s defensive back, DaShawn Jones is listed as probable. Dre Kirkpatrick Jr. remains out due to suspension along with injured Alabama players; Jah-Marien Latham, Danny Lewis Jr. and Jeremiah Beaman.

Both Russaw and Cayden Jones have missed several games this season with injuries. Kalen DeBoer provided an update on Russaw, who suffered a broken foot, during the SEC Coaches Teleconference.

“We’re unsure at this point, probably in that questionable range right now at this minute, but he’s coming along nicely,” DeBoer said. “I know I said that a week ago. I would consider it at least on if not ahead of schedule from what we originally thought. He’s done a great job and he’s getting closer and closer, so, just see how he feels here the rest of the week.”

DaShawn Jones is the Crimson Tide’s starter at the Husky position in its secondary. His probable status will be worth monitoring throughout the week.

The Crimson Tide will host the Sooners Saturday on Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium with kickoff set for 2:30 p.m. CST.
