The Crimson Tide will likely enter the matchup with its College Football Playoff and its SEC Championship hopes still intact. Auburn will likely be playing for a chance to make it to a bowl game.
The Tide takes on Eastern Illinois on Saturday, while Auburn will play host to Mercer.
