ESPN has named Ryan Grubb as a candidate for the Cal head coaching job.
Grubb is currently the Alabama Crimson Tide’s offensive coordinator, and he is in his first year with the team. Cal does not have a head coach at the moment after firing Justin Wilcox.
Alabama football’s head coach Kalen DeBoer has had Grubb on his staff at several stops. Grubb has never been a head coach.
ESPN also named Josh Lupoi, Jason Eck, Tim Plough and Sean Lewis as candidates for the job.
