Alabama OL Kadyn Proctor highlights trio of Auburn defenders Tide has to be ‘ready’ for

Alabama football’s offensive lineman, Kadyn Proctor feels the Auburn defense has a talented unit, and the Crimson Tide will need to be ready to face several key players.

Proctor highlighted a trio of those players on Tuesday, starting with Tigers’ defensive end, Keldric Faulk.

“That’s a first-round talent guy (Faulk),” Proctor said. “Keyron Crawford, number 24. He’s had a lot of production but not just the defensive line. But the linebackers, like number 17 (Xavier Atkins) got 15 and a half tackles for loss, seven and a half sacks. I mean, that’s crazy to have as a linebacker. I mean, he’s fast, speedy, but they have big guys up front, long, lengthy and they’re powerful. So, we gotta be ready for that.”

Faulk remains a projected first-round pick for the 2026 NFL Draft. He has accounted for 26 total tackles, five tackles for loss and two sacks this season. Crawford has made his presence felt as well with 31 total tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss and five sacks.

Atkins has been a stat sheet stuffer at linebacker for Auburn throughout the season with 81 total tackles, 25 tackles for loss and 7.5 sacks.

Auburn is giving up an average of 333.6 yards per game and 20. 1 points per game. The Tigers have gotten to opposing quarterbacks 28 times this season.

Ty Simpson will have a target on his back against the Tigers, and this trio of players will be getting after him in the 2025 Iron Bowl. Kickoff for the annual rivalry is set for 6:30 pm CST.
