Alabama football’s starting TE set to miss the Iron Bowl due to injury

According to the initial SEC Availability Report, the Alabama offense will be without tight end Josh Cuevas this Saturday as the Crimson Tide take on the Auburn Tigers in the Iron Bowl.

Cuevas had one of the best games of his collegiate career as a pass catcher against the Oklahoma Sooners as he caught six passes for 80 yards and a touchdown. He sustained an injury in practice the following week, and he missed the Eastern Illinois game.

Tight end Danny Lewis Jr. is also listed as out ahead of the Iron Bowl. This means Alabama will be turning to tight ends like Kaleb Edwards, Marshall Pritchett, Jay Lindsey or Brody Dalton.

Edwards, Pritchett and Dalton made some significant catches in the Eastern Illinois game last Saturday, and their numbers will likely be called on rivalry weekend.
