AJ McCarron has been announced as the UFL Birmingham Stallions’ next head coach. McCarron is a former Alabama quarterback.

The Alabama native played for the Crimson Tide from 2010 to 2013. He was the starting quarterback on two National Championship teams before getting drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in the fifth round of the 2014 NFL Draft.

After playing in the league for almost a decade as a primary backup, McCarron took his talents to the St. Louis Battlehawks in the XFL.

The former Alabama quarterback is no longer suiting up on the field. He is now taking his talents to the coaching ranks for the first time.
