Alabama football has been in contact with former Tennessee edge, Jordan Ross, and the Crimson Tide is set to host him this weekend.

A close source to Ross tells Touchdown Alabama the Tide is heavily in the mix, and Ross ‘definitely likes what they are saying.’

Ross is a former five-star recruit and is a product of Vestavia Hills High School in Alabama. He is now in the transfer portal after two seasons with the Vols.

The Alabama product finished his time at Tennessee with 26 total tackles, five tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. The majority of that production came in 2025 as a sophomore.

The Tide would likely line the 6-foot-5, 245-pounder up at Wolf linebacker if he were to transfer to Alabama. This room took a hit with the departure of Qua Russaw and Noah Carter to the transfer portal.

Alabama has added two defenders from the transfer portal so far in Devan Thompkins and Caleb Woodson.
