Tony’s take: Bray Hubbard is a future team captain, but who else will lead Alabama this fall?

Go ahead and put a C on Bray Hubbard’s chest. But after that, it’s hard to find an obvious choice for Alabama’s team captaincy.

We’ve reached the deadline for underclassmen to declare for the NFL Draft. The transfer portal window will close on Friday. While college football’s offseason transactions will continue over the following few weeks, things are finally about to slow down. At that point, we’ll all get a chance to take a deep breath and examine Alabama’s roster.

One of my annual exercises during the downtime is to predict the Tide’s upcoming team captains. In today’s college football climate, the pool of possible candidates is smaller than ever.
