Schools are in hot pursuit of Ba’Roc Willis and deservedly so.
Willis is one of the most productive defenders in the state of Alabama. Multiple recruiting sites have the 2027 prospect listed as a four-star recruit. He is eyeing multiple upcoming visits for this month.
“I’m setting something up with Florida, with Auburn on the Feb. 1st, and I may go down to Bama on Jan. 31,” Willis said.
The Moody High School product was once committed to Alabama. The Tide’s defensive line coach Freddie Roach has remained in contact with him, and this is something Willis has respected.
“They have been showing me love still,” Willis said. “I’m most definitely still going to rock with them.
Willis is looking to be committed again before his senior season.
“Going into the summer, probably, I’d say, like May or June, get it done before then so I can just worry about the season,” said Willis.
The four-star will weigh a multitude of factors before he makes his commitment decision. He will consider the environment of each program because ‘ he wants to be surrounded by guys who want to get better every day and who hold each other accountable.’ He also wants ‘coaches who want to push’ him to get better.
Several other programs remain in the mix for Willis. USC, North Carolina, Miami, Texas and LSU are a few of those programs.
Willis proved he could make plays rushing from the edge and while playing off the ball as an inside linebacker. It was clear Willis had a great feel for where plays where going as he was able to quickly diagnose plays in their early developments and put a stop to them. He was impressively strong at the point of attack against the run.
