Elijah Butler reported an offer from Alabama.
Butler currently attends St. Frances Academy in Maryland. The 2027 recruit reports recent offers from Alabama, Auburn, Michigan, Ole Miss, Texas A&M and others. Butler’s Alabama offer comes from the Tide’s defensive backs coach, Jason Jones.
“It means everything to me,” Butler told Touchdown Alabama. “They have a great reputation and team. I think the overall program is great and will definitely lead you in the right direction.”
The 6-foot-3 defensive back is a ball-hawking safety. He also fits the frame the Tide continues to go after at the safety position, with him weighing approximately 190 pounds. Butler also flows downhill and is able to make tackles in space, which is one of the things the Crimson Tide’s staff loves to see.
“They said that they loved how I am lengthy, have great ball skills and can come down and make a tackle,” Butler said.
