In-State programs making hard push for Hueytown 4-Star DL

Donivan Moore is down to six schools ahead of a possible summer commitment.

Moore attends Hueytown High School in Alabama. He is now considering Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Ole Miss, Ohio State and Texas.

Auburn and Alabama were able to get Moore on campus over the weekend. He has locked in an official visit with the Tigers, and Auburn has made quite the impression on the four-star.

“Auburn, it’s just a special place,” Moore said. “Every time I go there, they treat me well. They just treat me like I’m one of their players. They talk to me about things, what I need to fix, what I need to work on, what I did good. They just treat me like I’m one of their players.”

Alabama got Moore to campus on Sunday.

“Alabama was great,” Moore told Touchdown Alabama. “I had a great time when I was up there. We’re actually working on, and I have to set up an OV with them. I haven’t got a chance to do that, but I definitely will be taking an official visit there too.”

Ohio State, LSU, Ole Miss and Texas remain as top choices for the four-star. He plans to commit to a school in the summer.

“I’ll be committed around June or July,” Moore said.

The 2027 recruit will weigh a variety of factors when he makes his decision. Development will be one of the key factors for him.

“I am looking for somewhere I can develop even if that means taking a redshirt,” said Moore. “Just looking for somewhere to develop me.”

At 6-foot-4 and 273 pounds, Moore displays strength at the point of attack. He also possesses great length and an impressive frame with the ability to turn and run and get after the football. Moore is one of the nation’s top 2027 defensive lineman prospects.
